IGNACY SZELAZEK
He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife, Zofia Szelazek; children, Joanna Hamedani (Ramin and children, Brian, Alexandra, and Thomas), and Paul Szelazek (Nicole Carvalho and children, Jakob and Olivia).
He was predeceased by his parents, Amelia and Emeryk Szelazek; and sisters, Gienia Basarab and Teresa Soroka.
Ignacy immigrated to Winnipeg from Poland. He met his wife Zofia here and they spent over 50 years together. Ignacy was a devoted father and hard worker, rarely missing a day from his long term job as bricklayer for CP Rail. Ignacy enjoyed the outdoors gardening and riding his bike until he no longer could. He was a peaceful, loving man and will be deeply missed by those he leaves behind.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 28 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Parish, 341 Selkirk Avenue. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery.
